Understanding Depression
Depression is more than feeling sad, it can affect your thoughts, energy, sleep, appetite, and even your ability to function day-to-day. You may feel numb, hopeless, disconnected, or exhausted - and unsure why. For some, it’s triggered by a specific event. For others, it appears gradually and quietly.
You're not weak for feeling this way. Depression is a recognised mental health condition that can affect anyone and help is available.
How Counselling Can Help with Depression
Therapeutic support can help you explore what’s behind the depression, whether it’s past trauma, current stress, long-standing thought patterns, or deep feelings of shame or worthlessness. Together, we’ll work at your pace to identify what’s keeping you stuck and begin to build a path forward.
In counselling, you’ll have a safe space to be heard without judgment and begin to develop self-awareness, coping tools, and strategies to regain hope and meaning in your life.
