Meet Sarah.

Hello I’m Sarah, the woman behind Empowered Within Counselling.

I’ve been training as a Counsellor for the last 5 years, and I am BACP (British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists) registered. This means that I have a professional and legal obligation to adhere to the guidelines set out by BACP.

I love supporting and enabling my clients to heal, grow and become their true self. I believe that counselling is a journey and when I work with a client, I am on that journey with them.

With over 20 years of experience, including within the NHS, of offering support to people in various settings, I bring maturity and an innate understanding of other people’s needs, together with my own lived experience. I have experience working with neurodiversity and I am developing my knowledge and skills in this area further.

I am very committed to ensuring that my clients receive the right support for their needs.

The BACP Principles I Follow

  • Being trustworthy: honouring the trust placed in the practitioner.

  • Autonomy: respect for the client’s right to be self-governing.

  • Beneficence: a commitment to promoting the client’s wellbeing.

  • Non-maleficence: a commitment to avoiding harm to the client.

  • Justice: the fair and impartial treatment of all clients and the provision of adequate services.

  • Self-respect: fostering the practitioner’s self-knowledge, integrity and care for self.

Sessions are available face-to-face in Rotherham or online

I offer clients the chance to work through their issues in a safe, non-judgmental space, using an integrative approach, which helps me to meet client’s individual needs.

I have a counselling room, based in West Melton on the outskirts of Rotherham, that I use for face-to-face sessions.

To make my sessions as accessible as possible, I also offer online sessions.
