Understanding Anxiety

Anxiety is more than just feeling nervous, it’s a persistent sense of worry, fear, or dread that can affect your thoughts, body, and behaviours. You might find yourself overthinking, avoiding situations, struggling to sleep, or experiencing physical symptoms like racing heart, tension, or nausea.

It’s your body’s way of responding to threat but when that alarm system stays stuck on, it can start to take over your life.

How Counselling Can Help with Anxiety

Counselling offers a supportive, structured space to explore the root of your anxiety, whether it's linked to stress, trauma, self-esteem, or unhelpful thinking patterns. You’ll gain insight into your triggers, learn how to manage overwhelming feelings, and develop tools to respond more calmly to life’s challenges.

We’ll work together to help you feel safer, more grounded, and less ruled by fear.

I offer clients the chance to work through their issues in a safe, non-judgmental space, using an integrative approach, which helps me to meet client’s individual needs.

To make my sessions as accessible as possible, I also offer online sessions.
